Kapparis is a small village on the eastern side of Cyprus, situated between the town of Paralimni and the Mediterranean Sea.   Although Kapparis may be small and peaceful, it is very well appointed with a wide range of local shops, a supermarket, a bakery, taverns, an Italian restaurant, a Chinese restaurant, a fish and chip restaurant and of course several Cypriot restaurants serving some of the famed Cyprus dishes such as kleftiko, stiffado and meat and fish mezes. Perhaps it is because Kapparis is smaller and more peaceful than its nearby neighbour Agia Napa, yet so well appointed, that it attracts so many holiday makers. Perhaps it is the year round sun that makes Kapparis such a popular winter sun destination, or maybe it is because Kapparis is home to some of the most beautiful beaches and coves to be found on the island of Cyprus.  And the good news if you are coming out of season is that all the shops and restaurants stay open in the winter as do the internet cafes, launderettes, hairdressers and all the services you’re likely to need
